Become Certified in MI

Some conversation skills in MI are general skills that we all use daily. At the same time, MI is a complex set of skills that assists in conversations about change when the path is difficult. Just like downhill skiing, MI is easy to understand but hard to master. Proficiency in MI is acquired through receiving reliable feedback in your training.

WHAT DOES MIC LAB'S CERTIFICATION MEAN?

MIC Lab has two levels both suggested in the manual that measure core skills in MI, Motivational Interviewing Treatment Integrity Code 4.2.1 (MITI 4.2.1). The lower level is to be 'competent in MI' and the higher, to demonstrate 'good competence in MI'. Issued certificates are deemed valid for a 24-month period.

Good competence in MI

• Andel Komplexa reflektioner: 50%
• Andel Reflektioner / Frågor: 2:1

Fair competence in MI

• Bemötande (Relationskomponent / Empati + Partnerskap): 3,5
• Förändring (Teknisk komponent / Förändringstal + Bibehållandetal): 3
• Andel Komplexa reflektioner: 40%
• Andel Reflektioner / Frågor: 1:1

HOW TO BECOME CERTIFIED?

To become certified, you record conversations with one of MIC Lab's actors. To ensure fairness, the conversation is conducted with a professional actor who plays a standard client. This ensures equality for all. The actor is trained in MI so that you are given the opportunity to demonstrate your MI skills.

THE CERTIFICATION IS RELIABLE

MIC Lab ensures the quality of its coding according to MITI 4.2.1 by verifying the reliability of the coder group and by following research in MI.

• 2. När Du har loggat in, beställer Du "Bokning av skådespelare"
• 3. När samtalet är genomfört med skådespelaren, kodas det av MIC Lab
• 4. När samtalet är kodat, får Du ett protokoll som vid godkänd nivå resulterar i ett Certifikat.
